Re: Horne & Corden - BBC Three

Their rubbish non-ironic sub-Fletwoodfoxian hosting of the Brits might have turned a few people off them; and their association with that "comedy" sketch programme featuring TV character actor Catherine Tate is also something to shake off.

I am however a fan of G&S, and saw the sketch on JR last night, noticing that the burger van man was rising star of comedy Nick Mohammed, who also starred with Horne in Billy Goat (one of BBC1's Fairy Tales last year) as boybandmates.

Re: Horne & Corden - BBC Three

I love Gavin & Stacey but H&c don't look too good from the clips I've seen. I hate logos/dogs so I will not be viewing antway.

Re: Horne & Corden - BBC Three

totally ***** presenting The Brits & they also did a really poor sketch for a charity gig last year I think it was for Amnesty Int, so I'm not holding out much hope for this show but if theres nothing else on I'll give the first one a go.

That's a shame. From what I saw up front it didn't look too good but I hoped it might be.

The opening bit where he dances around as he is so excited I found very funny. After that I have to see I didn't really laugh again. It may get better.

Re: Horne & Corden - BBC Three

'Tis a truly awful show, but happened to see last night the blonde girl who used to be in the Upper Hand is in it.

Reminded me of how much I fancied her all those years ago......

Re: Horne & Corden - BBC Three

I'm alone in finding this actually better than most, it's progressively got better .

Some of the live stage stuff is clever and very well performed but overall it simply lacks really good writing, their performances of the material are about as good as could be achieved by anybody but it lacks meat.

Some of the recurring theme stuff like "no aspinal" makes my smile.

Horne and Corden - What a load of $"!*£

Just watching Horne and Corden, the UK's new comedy sensations. The new Morecambe and Wise apparently. What utter crap. Do they honestly think they are funny?

How did they manage to wangle getting a tv show?

Answers on a postcard please !!

Gavin And Stacey is brilliant and you can't take that away from them. I haven't watched this show but what I've seen does look like a load of s****.

All the best

Re: Horne and Corden - What a load of $"!*£

I can't say that I've heard even one positive comment about them post the Brits Awards.

Matthew Horne had better distance himself otherwise his "comedy" partner will drag him down with him.

I always thought that Matthew Horne would have made a great Dr Who but that's another thread altogether

Re: Horne & Corden - BBC Three

Gavin and Stacey was superb and well written but this is very poor.

Having said that, I think the two stars of Gavin & Stacey are Ruth Jones and Rob Brydon particularly as Uncle Bryn is top class. James Corden isn't particularly good in it IMO.

The only bit that i laughed at was the gay reporter HIYA

Apart from that it's rubbish as i said and i agree no chance they will get a second season and if they do someone at BBC needs shooting.

Pretty poor. Shame, might get better though, as they refine the best bits out of it.

*cue what bits are they then?*
