P League Darts HD (Is there a pixel missing ?)

Been watching the darts over the last few weeks and notice a green dot on the right hand side.
Does anyone else notice this ?

Re: P League Darts HD (Is there a pixel missing ?)

I've seen them on some of Sky content recently.

I saw it on the Darts and couple on Ross Kemp to name but two.

Aslong as it's not my display, I'm not bothered by them

Re: P League Darts HD (Is there a pixel missing ?)

In the early days there were a couple of Jools Holland shows filmed with a camera with a dead pixel, nit picking I know but you have to ask the question why they let it go and the same it seems for the darts

Re: P League Darts HD (Is there a pixel missing ?)

Ive noticed this from week one for the darts. Surely they could replace the camera??

Other than that dead pixel, the darts coverage the last few weeks has been top class. Quality picture. Shame the actual darts wasnt that good this week.

Re: P League Darts HD (Is there a pixel missing ?)

I covered the premier league of darts from Coventry a couple of weeks ago and I can confirm that one of the cameras on Bow Tie OB2 has got a dead pixel this is being looked into but Thomson are not sure if they can repair it or whether a new camera is required.

Is the DD sound working now as they have been having some problems with mixing that as well but hopefully that has been sorted now

Re: P League Darts HD (Is there a pixel missing ?)

The Thomson Grass Valley LDK6000 are usually very good cameras but they have been out a while and like most electrical goods will develop problems if this camera is not repairable as a rough guess you are probaly looking at around 40K for a reconditioned/2nd hand unit so quite an expense.

I would expect Bow tie to possibly upgrade cameras in the next 3 years especially with the increase in HD work they are doing with them having HD units out last week OB2 at the Darts and OB1 in london for the champions children award for Sky 1.

They also do some sub contract work for Telegenic on sky sports HD european rugby coverage
