Shows for my wife recommendations please

Hi my wife and I normally watch a couple of shows together a night and then she watches one on her own while I play on the PC/360. Together we enjoy all the great shows talked about on here on a regular basis but she is running out of the shows she watches on her own and I wondered if anyone had any suggestions.

She has particually enjoyed :
Brothers and Sisters
Gossip Girl
Desperate Housewives

Anyone know of anything else I should be giving her to try?

The period dramas have been great on the beeb, with 'Larkrise' currently coming to an end off series 2 run shortly. The following are available on dvd, and are great shows.

- Cranford
- Little Dorrit
- Bleak House

- Larkrise to Candleford (S1)

other non period;

One show my other half loves is Army Wives. Just had a look on play.com and it's out in a couple of day's on DVD.

Not sure if it's on SKY. If i think of any more i'll post

Thanks everyone, we watch/watched Grey's anatomy, Private Practice, Veronica Mars and of course 24 together and enjoyed them all greatly.

Can't get her to try my name is earl, got it into her head it's silly and won't give it a chance. She was a bit like that with How I met your mother, had to nag her for ages to try it because I knew she'd love it, when she eventually gave in, she did love it

Looked up everyones suggestions on imdb, I think I'll start with giving her Gilmore Girls, Dirty Sexy Money and Pushing daisys to try and go from there. Will give her United States of Tara once it's finished it's first series too.

Alias is worth going back for if you never caught it. Also Murder One series 1 was great. My girlfriend and I are just finishing odd Damages which is a slow burner but grows into quite a deep story. We are also toying with the idea of starting Friends and Seinfeld from the very first eps again.

Get kidnapped from amazon marketplace, short at 12 or so episodes but you'll both enjoy it and it's cheap!

I really liked it so did the other half as did my parents, it's one of those shows you can loan around and it's not great hardship if it doesn't come back or gets damaged since it's the same price as a pint.
