"Eastbound & Down" (2009)

i don't know if anyone has seen this show that started last week on HBO. it's produced by will ferrell and stars danny mcbride as kenny powers, a washed up once baseball star who is now forced to live with his brother and work at a school as a PE teacher. it's a bit like my name is early type of humour but with swearing as it's on HBO. the character is a redneck with a whole load of personal issues and still acts like he's a star, but he treats the only people who recognise him like crap

there is a movie called the foot fist way that will ferrell produced with danny mcbride, which is a similar story, with danny playing a washed up redneck karate instructor who teachers mainly kids whilst struggling with marital issues

it's well worth checking out. i hate sport, but it's similar to the other will ferrell type movies. will guest starred in the second episode but doesn't normally appear in the show

Some of you might have caught the pilot screener last Summer ... I thought it was okay.

I stumbled across this series and have to say it is just about the funniest thing I have seem in a VERY long time - Quite base humour but very well delivered - "I Love You Kenny Fu..... Powers"

Just watched the whole season in one sitting. It was OK, but if it was any more than six episodes I wouldn't of bothered. Typical Will Ferrell I guess. Some funny moments, expected better from HBO though.

Can't knock the norks moments however
