Bet you cant wait to watch this.....its.....Doctors!

6pm each evening on BBC HD. I suppose it might keep some wives happy and make them easier to persuade if you are thinking of getting freesat.

Yet again this thread is moved and yet a similar thread in the SKY HD forum has been allowed to remain there. Why are the moderators only moving certain threads?

The Doctors HD thread from the SKY HD forum was also moved into this forum.
You can of course query any of the moderators for an explanation of a decision or policy and of course report a post for being in the wrong forum or even try to become a mod yourself.

Yes I noticed it had moved afterwards. The moderators seem very fair here actually, thats why I was surprised that my thread was moved and the other wasnt.

To be honest, this section is so dead i think discussion of programmes on specific platforms should be allowed in that section, but hey-ho.

Same thing has been said before when threads were moved here for the SKY HD forum, the intent by AVF is to put all content threads in one section and perhaps when some programming is on multiple platforms that makes some sense. After all it still allows for technical issues (BSG audio issue tonight, red button issue on F&F last night) to be discussed in the relevant hardware section.

Re: Freesat gets its first HD soap!

My gripe with moving posts - as mentioned before - is moderators who move them but don't add a "moved" icon to the original forum, which doesn't help anyone involved, especially when they go to one of the quieter areas of the board. However, in this case whoever moved the thread that originated in the Sky HD forum indicated it had moved, so no complaints on this occasion.

we are asked not to use them, partly so they don't clutter up the forums as sometimes a lot of posts can be moved. it should encourage posters to look for the correct forum for threads, if you have posted on the thread you can find it from the "my posts" option in quick links, or by using the search box if you haven't posted

I look at another way. It seems that nobody knows this forum exists, even regular members post about programmes in the Freeview/sat and Sky HD forums. If "Moved" icons were used, it would alert people to the fact that there are areas better suited for their posts and encourage them to post here in the first place.

I know that in a lot of cases, people who post about a HD programme on the Sky platform in the Sky HD forum (which sounds like the right place) only to find their posts have disappeared, think they have been deleted, which isn't good for the general mood. I doubt many would think to look in their profiles.

But thanks for the explanation.
