More than last year, I think only four of the matches were in HD. I wonder if they'll just be in stereo again, or the BBC will do DD5.1 this time?

I thought BBC HD transmitted everything in 5.1 now? i dont know because I dont have a surround system.

Its ITV that tend to broadcast in stereo.

Why has this thread been moved. Its about a report on the joinfreesat site and was therefore entirely on topic in the freesat section.

But it is also entirely on topic for sky HD, freeview HD and any other way of watching bbc HD. Hence it was moved.

Hope its in 5.1 - it makes a real difference.

Alas no, both their inhouse and commissioned content appears as DD2.0 or DD5.1, there doesn't seem to be any real pattern to it and even movies are a mixture of formats perhaps based more on the availability of a suitable master compared to a production/budget choice by the BBC for their own stuff.

I've no idea - ask a moderator. Put given you're post was about software and you posted in a hardware forum, I would have thought it was obvious.
