Cool

But it was only a few hours ago. It too wanted to know. But no doubt we will found out as it looks as though the next series will start very soon in the time line to this.

It is a shame they could not conclude the series and have ties to clear up in an other series. It is one thing that ****es me off, with series today. Just watch out they will do it on Spooks tomorrow.

Neither did I. So you watched Pure 24 then

I was thinking all scenarios at the end gun, biological, then could it be fingerprints??? But I think it was chemical.

It has to have been chemical to have acted that quickly...

I thought David was safe after 'That bird' shook his hand - until he collapsed & all...

Then for a second I thought they were gonna take his prints to frame him in some way...

But no - had to poison him!

OK full reason.
First I thought she was going to shoot him. Then as she only shook hands I though she has to be infected with something, then when she removed the skin I was thinking biological or fingerprints (to gain access to something). But as you say his hand was burnt so it had to be chemicals.
Plot for the next 24 Jack looks for a cure?

Excellant series - I just hope Kim Bower keeps the hell out of everyone's way next time! That girl is a walking disaster waiting to happen. And I still HATE Sherry Palmer more than marmite!!

Tony to Chapelle: "The thing is, either fire me or get out of my chair"

Great little scene.

Now we'll have to wait till the new year untill the season three is back on the BBC.

I do hope that Sky don't buy the rights, it'll spoil it completely.

spent the whole weekend watching season 2 on DVD (got mine a little early) - did 12 hours straight yesterday - totally fab - the mandy bit at the very end was great - my wife and i both shouted mandy at the screen at the same time when we saw her. I'll just have to wait to next august to find out what happened to poor Dave. watching it in two sittings over the weekend vindicated my decision not to watch it on telly - the tension for the last 6 hours was fantastic. Most notable thing was the amount of torture, so many people got tortured this time.

the extras on the DVD are quite good and some of the deleted scenes are worth watching. the 24 Exposed thing is about the making of the last two hours- quite informative. One of the production staff says "we are currently filming the death of President Palmer" i dont know if that was just a slip of the tongue as we dont know if he is dead or not...............

Roll on next August so i can do it all again.

Gary

I hope not he is one of the best characters in the show, apart from making that OTT speech at the end.
And that slip could have been a wind-up.

mandy was employed by Ira Gaines in the first season to retreive a pass from a journo. she met him on a plane, stole the pass after shagging him in the loo - then she baled out and blew the plane up. this pass was then given to a guy who looked like the journo so he could kill Palmer.

I dont know if max had anyting to do with that, i think she is a "gun" for hire.

it is supposed to be 3 years on for season 3 with David fighting for re-election and some kind of bio-chemical threat

Kim is also supposed to be working at CTU and Jacks relationship with Kate is over after a few years - however its rumoured that Kim now has a relationship secret and further rumoured that that said secret involves Kate as well

Season 2 was very good - slow in places but still high in tension. However it was nowhere near as tightly scripted as Season 1. Kim Bower was absoluetely hateful throughout and should not have been involved in any way this time round. Also, I found the final episode paled in comparison to the final episode of Season 1.

If they continue to involve Kim Bower for more than one episode of Season 3, I'm switching off........well I'll try anyway .

Sorry to say guy's but season 2 sucked big time.
Once they found the bomb the whole story went rapidly down hill.
Just how many things can some people get wrong in a few hours?

Thought the end was total pants. I'd got to the point that I didn't give a monkeys what any character was up to. Kim was a royal pain in the ass. Jack shouldn't have been able to do anything with the amount of drugs in his system. All at CTU were total morons and couldn't find a bomb if they were sitting looking at it.

All in all a very poor follow up to the first season.
I'll say right now that if Kim is in the next one (and it's looking that she will) I'll be giving season 3 a miss. I just don't know how much of her antics I can take any more.

Oh! Can someone please tell me how killing off Palmer (if he does die) would start a war in the middle east?
I just don't see how this ending would lead to the US declaring war.

I thought the ending sucked man breasts

It's like they (the baddies) have taken months planning the nuke, 24 hours trying to complete the plan then in the last 15 mins when the plan fails they switch to plan B and hey presto, immediate results!

Why didn't they try plan B in the first place?

And I heard Kim is going to be the new series big style helping (should that be hindering) her dad

But that is not the end of the plot, surely? it was only one part in the larger scale of things.
