Bad Boys II

Off to the multimedia of this tonight

I personally loved the first one, real popcorn-tastic cinema

I'm reliably informed that this sequel has a chase scene even better than the one in Matrix Reloaded...

.... we'll have to wait and see

Yeah, personally I loved it. It is 100% entertainment. Forget what the critics say with the "mindless voilence", "obscene" etc etc crap. This film is pure action with comedy thrown in and it's sole purpose is to entertain you for 2 1/2 hours.

The car chase is good and uses old-school action rather than CGI (like in the Matrix Reloaded) though they might have tricked a bit here and there, too. Neither compares to Ronin IMHO.

It's a good popcorn movie, not better than the first one though. More action and more violance, but also a tendency to comedy if not slapstick, reminded me sometimes of Lethal Weapon or (one particular scene) The Naked Gun.
Rather than maintaining the cool and tough Bad Boys image this is where the sequel falls short.
It was obscene in parts and I dare to say racist (excessive use of the n-word). At least I thought the "interview" wasn't funny at all but rather superfluous and redicilous.

Obscene and racist?...

I think you saw a different film!

It does make a refreshing change to have an "old-school" style car chase I agree.

There is also one scene where the CGI is incredibly good (I won't spoil it)... but it made the entire audience applaud and whoop

smacks of David Fincher's stylistic shots in "Panic Room"

Agree with the Ronin comment, but The Bourne Identity chase scene ain't bad either.

I think I know which CGI scene you mean, when the camera rotates around Smith in the pink house? I thought that was excellent.

Also, imo, the car chase was a lot more fun than Reloaded. When the agent jumps on that car and crushes it, that just ruins the whole thing. It looked so cheap.

I'm talking about the one with the bullet, the glasses on the table and the backside

I wont say any more for fear of it being labeled as a spoiler.
