They are making a third series of 24. I just hope this series is not left on a cliff-hanger like most of the programs these days.I was refreshing that series 1 story line more or less concluded in the last hour.

Looking forward with great anticipation for the final to season 2 next Sunday.

Keiffer has signed a multi-million dollar deal to do 6 more, so fingers crossed they'll be another season out v.soon.

I read about the deal in one of the daily tabloids, can't remember which, but it was about 3 months ago. Maybe someone else remembers a bit more?

Kiefer Sutherland signs £10m deal for 24

Kiefer Sutherland has signed a lucrative £10 million deal to make another six series of hit US show 24.

He plays FBI agent Jack Bauer in 24, which has been getting rave reviews in the US and Britain for its original and fast-paced format.

Last month, it was confirmed that producers of the show had been given the go-ahead for the third series.

According to reports, Sutherland will receive £70,000 per episode, after a sting of movie flops.

Hi,

Great news that there'll be a third series! However, this leads to 2 questions:

1 - What the hell will the basic storyline be about? They've had the 1st Black president storyline in Season 1, and have done a Nuclear War scenario in Season 2, so what's next?

2 - Will 20th Century Fox release a DVD set cotaining 18 discs, six per season, for Seasons 1, 2 and 3, come August next year?

I hope they don't try and write a daft storyline in just to get Jack's daughter back in it.

In the first series she was held hostage which forced Jack to do certain things, and in the second she was connected to the main story line because she had to get out of the blast radius of the bomb, but I can't see how they make her relevant to another series. That would be stretching it a bit for me.
