David S. Goyer’s - Flash Forward (S1 - with spoilers)
Joseph Fiennes and John Cho (Sulu from J.J. Abrams’ Star Trek) have joined the pilot, which also stars Courtney B. Vance, who will play Stan Wedeck, the Los Angeles bureau chief of the FBI, and Jack Davenport will play Lloyd Simcoe, who is trapped in Northern California when the event occurs and struggles to reach his son in a Southland hospital.
The new ABC pilot from David S. Goyer and Brannon Braga is based on Robert J. Sawyer's sci-fi novel and follows the chaos that ensues after everyone in the world blacks out for 2 minutes and 17 seconds, and everyone has a mysterious vision of the future that changes their lives forever.
Quote:
The project centers on Mark Banford (Fiennes), an FBI agent who is patching up his life and his marriage after winning a long struggle with the bottle. Disturbed by the harrowing premonition during his blackout, he races to unravel the mystery, fearful of the murky future that might spell disaster for himself and his loved ones.
Cho will play Dominic Witten, a dedicated FBI agent who is Mark’s partner and friend. His experience while unconscious was an absolute blank, which doesn’t bode well for his own future as he realizes he might be murdered.

Last night during 'Lost' ad break, the first promo for Flash Forward sci-fi pilot aired, based on Robert J. Sawyer's novel, which will be also be a full series. Its not a great promo, but i have high hopes for the show.
The show will deal with the aftermath of a cataclysmic event: Everyone on Earth blacks out for a little over two minutes, during which time they have a glimpse of their future.
Joseph Fiennes, Sonya Walger, Courtney B. Vance, Christine Woods, John Cho

We'll see.
Yes I read it a couple of months back. Promising at the start but unltimately found it a bit lightweight and itching to be made into a movie. I suspect the TV series (I might be wrong) will start with the initial story from the novel and perhaps go into a different person's story each week. Could be good, but suspect it will be meh.

It's being reported that the UK rights have been bought by Five in a bundling deal with other ABC content and beat out SKY1 who were also interested.
We won't get FiveHD before this show premieres and is perhaps too much to expect Five to follow SKY1's lead and premiere within a week or so.
If not then well we have options
Oops, a nod to Thornaster who posted the same in another thread
