The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen

I just saw it last night, I didn't like it one bit. I don't want to discourage any of you but I was really bored.. The action scenes didn't excite me because it all happens to quick, I didn't even know what was going on. Flash here, flash there, puff, bam, done. Oh yea, and there was also the cheesy parts. The only thing that I found interesting were the Characters. But then again, they already existed before the movie was made. Go see it if you really want to, but I'd highly recommend pirates of the caribbean instead.

Thats handy seeing as I worked my guts out on it.

Seems to have split public opinion : fans of the comic book hate it , people who are looking at it fresh seem to quite like it as a big action summer blockbuster type.

Looks pants.

I don't like Daredevil or The Matrix either.

I guess I have taste.

I think most of us were pretty happy with the X-Men although there where some big changes.
Also the first Batman was OK apart from Michael Keaton not being on the big athletic side, but he pulled of the his darkness near enough perfect.

Fair enough id agree with Xmen and probably batman too.

Never been that big on comics, apart from Alien vs Predator but always loved the xmen cartoon

Just heard last night that LXG's release date in the UK has been pushed back to Xmas. Can anyone confirm?

If true we'll probably have the R1 disc before the UK cinema release.

Yeah, that's the thing that turned me off from Mummy 2. (that and that snot-nosed kid) The actions scenes were TOO FAST! I'm sure they looked cool on DVD played at half speed, but you just couldn't see what was going on in the theatre. By the time the 3rd action scene rolled around, I just tuned out.

I expected that LXG (why not LEG?) was a big mess of a movie. I'll probably watch it when it comes on TV.

Watched it a couple of nights ago, really enjoyed it as did Mrs S, wh want to see it again asap. It's going to be added to my collection as soon as it's available

Mr D, not sure which bits you worked on, but I only have one "issue" with the visuals - Mr Hydes forearms. Otherwise, nice

Heard from a friend in the USA that the sequel is already in the planning stages. Apparently it is set against "War of the Worlds" with LXG vs. the Martians!
