I know recently we have been talking about horror movies but I couldn't believe my eyes when I learnt that "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" is being released on the silver screen on October 17th. Goto this link and check it out.

I think it looks pretty bad from the trailer. They appear to have taken all that was great about the original - the menacing atmosphere and lo-fi 'documentary' look, and turned it into a super-slick Hollywood teen slasher horror.

I'd like to be proved wrong, as the original is one of my favourite films, but I'm not holding much hope for this one...

Yeah, I'll be steering well clear of this one. I'm comfortable with remake-itis attacking one of the true horror classics and tarnishing its image beyond repair, but I'm not about to subject myself to it.

Oh, it'll be horrifying all right. Two words were never so scary: Michael Bay.

Another glossy remake - totally pointless. After seeing the trailer i'm staying as far away as possible, god knows what the Hollywood remakes of Dawn of the Dead and Suspiria are going to be like. Why cant they leave these classics alone.
