Man Utd vs Spainish Team

Is it just my TV or is this match virtually unwatchable.

The PQ is just awful and in 4:3

Another spectacular performance from ITV (i know it's a Spainish feed) but bloody hell.

Re: Man Utd vs Spainish Team

Well yes, ITV football is always rubbish picture quality, it's like watching it on YouTube.

But what's this got to do with Sky HD?

Damn you ITV damn you.....although the Arsenal game on ITV4 doesn't have the bars, curious.

Just flicked to the Celtic game and although the picture isn't in HD it's so much better than ITV

It was a 4:3 aspect ratio so your TV if it's a widescreen may have been expanding it to partially remove the black lines at the side. Or like I did, you could expand it even more to get rid of the black lines altogether (because I'm sat at the far end of a long room).#

Trouble is, zooming in to the 4:3 will magnify the pixellation if you are sat at a normal viewing distance and on Sky (but not freeview), they did something else to the picture to add the thin black lines, which just made things worse. Add to that ITVs usual useless picture quality and there you have it. Youtube on ITV.

Re: Man Utd vs Spainish Team

It looks like the problem was the picture feed they got from the Spanish, because the studio stuff is in 16:9.

The Spanish are still a 3rd world country anyway, so that could explain it.

Unfortunately, it wasn't on ITV HD either. So it wouldn't have helped.
