Children In need about to start....

a whole nights viewing on the beeb

Personaly I cant stand it but you do get some good bits like QI special tonight but Lenny Henry and the newsreaders just make it almost unwatchable to me.

Dont get me wrong I agree with the charity aspect but I just hope they dont cart out the usual crew.

anyway ill reserve judgement and see whos on

Re: Children In need about to start....

Same here. There are bits that maybe worth a watch but the rest is terrible. Maybe you could pay a tenner for a DVD of the 10 minutes you like. That'd keep everyone happy.

Cheers

Re: Children In need about to start....

QI is bloomin' awful with Wogan (is he still getting paid for it this year?)

also unhappily caught the Eastenders' musical - seemed like most of the cast apart from the bloke playing the paedophile ... it's not a true story!

I missed Lenny Henry
... please don't tell me he resurrected Trevor McDoughnut?

Nice gesture by Take That, 250K (their M&S advert fees according to Barlow)

Re: Children In need about to start....

nah Lenny Henry wasnt on just me thinking they would dig him up . sorry must be thinking of comic relief.

Your right about the QI special rubbish BUT did anyone see the much hyped Top Gear meets Ashes to Ashes special ? what was that ? just rubbish.

Ive had it on in the background Take That great gesture I also enjoyed James Morrision and Keisha Buchanan song really good and the Hairspay performance was very good to.

I still never get the point of eastenders all doing a really bad medley of songs or the newsreaders but I spose people must like it.

Its a real juxsta position because I watched a bit with a girl with no legs i was absolutly gutted thinking gotta give more gotta give more it went off and they said "and here we have Nick Knowles and the DIY team" my brain went from charity to "get that s off " !!!

I take my hat off to the British Public we do well at giving even in bad times but this programme

I couldn't see anything worth watching either way. Do you think it made Eastenders part of the official Dr Who canon? Just imagine if it turned out the Dr's real name was Rikki.

Best wishes

That was on the TV rather than iteraction between the two sets of characters but I guess that means the crossover can't be regarded as canon.

Sorry Redwing. We've kinda taken over your thread with Dr Who.

Best wishes

That could be read as a really poor attempt at a joke, I hope it's not.

QI wasn't great. I went to the recording of that episode and really enjoyed iy. There was a lot more content that was not shown, I guess they wanted to keep the charity show ultra clean. Wogan was really good on the show live, im no fan of his but he was very witty on the night. Alan Davies said next to nothing throughtout the entire recording.

Re: Children In need about to start....

hardly the end of the world
- just record several hours of crap TV, and give money
- even better, watch some good TV and still give money

anyway here are the direct links to watch online or download (in chronological order ):
