Celebrity Come Dine with Me - C4 HD

Looks like the declining standards at BBCHD have spread to C4 HD -
"Celebrity Come Dine With Me" is flagged as being in HD and has the '4HD' DOG - but is obviously just upscaled (not very well upscaled) SD.

And me too!! Although, some of the low lighting bits, like the scoring in the taxi suffered a bit. But that's typical of HD.

Alot of reality style television suffers from all of these grainy effects due to little available light at the filming location (ie, in the street)

Therefore on the TV cameras, whether it be a £45.000 Sony HDCAM or an £800 Sony HDV Cam, the gain must be upped to record an adequate picture so the subjects in that take can be seen. This introduces noise and picture artefacts.

Alot of people blame the HD channels for being poor quality, but if the Programmes source material is grainy the picture on your TV will also be grainy. Not everything can look like Planet Earth.
