simpsons not in widescreen on Ch4 HD

Why does the simpsons show as a picture with big black bars down the side on CH4 HD? all the other progs on the channel seem to be fine

My HD is on Auto > 875 set to 1080P > PZ85 set on auto aspect ratio

Because The Simpsons is a 4:3 programme, that's how it's made and that's how it's supposed to look.

Its the same on Sky1 HD as well!

Just done a very quick SEARCH for the Simpsons (relating to this forum) and I could only find THREE posts asking this same question in the whole of August........................and this is only the SECOND one this month !

Never understood why anyone would watch the bloody thing IN ANY FORMAT to be honest
