Looking forward to it, just got into Dexter a few weeks ago, and quickly watched both seasons. I want to watch the season 3 trailer, but don't want anything to be ruined. Does it give much away?

The trailer doesn't give much away (unlike Prison Break) just shows a new character really.

Loving the Dexter !
The plot twists were not that startling in season 1 but it was still beautifally crafted. Season 2in my view was simply stunning. With the line between right and wrong becoming thinner.

Episode 1 was really good. It sets the story arc and spoiler - ends on a bit of a bombshell for Dex

I forgot just how well made and acted this show is

I am just getting through Dex Season 2 at the moment on FX and it is AMAZING

probably not until next summer if FX still have the rights I assume

I liked the season 3 preimier a lot, though i did have some reservations. They lost their show front runner at the endof season 2 and maybe its that but i thought the tone felt a little like retreading old ground. Felt a little more of a slowburner (but yes with some interesting revelations).

Look forward to the third series, having only just watched the first two pretty much back-to-back.

I'm just wondering how long they can sustain the premise and really hoping it doesn't jump the shark.

I think Killing the DA just to cover his tracks would go against even dexters new code they going to become very close through the series the question is what are they going to do when they find the real killer.the DA does not have it in him to kill the guy and Dexter cant pull the same self defence trick on the DA again

I was holding fire on this until I'd seen more than the opener. The opener suggested a return to form of the first season and the second episode confirms that in spades. Great episode and the addition of Jimmy Smits to the cast is steller. This season should be first rate if they continue as they've started.
