Hi All,
On
Friday 22nd August 2008, there is a major schedule change for that night's BBC1 TV schedules, that affects everyone.
At 11:20pm-1:20am, the film "Copycat" (with Sigourney Weaver)
has been pulled, and is being replaced with edited highlights of the Beijing Olympics Opening Ceremony.
The only downside, is that there is no news on whether the highlights to the ceremony will be sans commentary, either live or via the BBCi Interactive Red Dot feature.
It seems that a lot of people were very

off with the BBC about their live transmission's inane drivel/commentary, and so this is supposed to redress the balance a little bit. Personally, it would have been better to repeat the whole Opening Ceremony again, without the commentary, on BBC3 or BBC4 during the night, and advertised it, then just showing edited highlights, with (I presume) the annoying commentary that people hated. Bear in mind, the highlights will still only be two hours, out of nearly four-and-a-half, so it's still not going to be that great!
For those of you wanting to watch or record "Copycat", the film is showing on Friday 29th August, at 11:20pm on BBC1 - one week later than originally scheduled, and is listed in the new Radio Times/other TV listings guides.
