Has anyone been watching this comedy programme? I think it's excellent. The latest in a line of genuinely funny sitcoms!

I've been encouraged by the quality of sitcoms recently: we've had Alan Partridge, Black Books, Spaced, The Office...wasn't there a time in the 90's when nothing funny at all was being made?

Hi.
Caught this for the first time the other evening. Though it was pretty good with some genuine lol moments. Very Royle Family in places (that's a compliment!)
Will definitely watch again next week...

Ah, your avatar reminded me that I missed Phoenix Nights off the list...

I think the characterisation is pretty interesting in this: the characters grab me more than the Royle Family. And everyone likes a good p**s joke...

Surprising that many pubs still exist exactly like this, old blokes in a brewery engraved glass snug sipping pints of Mild, pickled eggs on the bar in a 1950s jar, whippets tied to chair legs....
The Star And Garter in Manchester springs to mind
