Just seen he was found dead at his home age 65

Yup wrote the iconic theme for the Shaft movie think the album was one of the all time best sellers, the film and sound track spawned a lot of other Blaxpotation movies and soundtracks. I have the album myself.

A lot of his album work he seemed to take a song and make them in to very long tracks and would do them in his own style.

If I read it right he was a little bit of a hypocrite as he left the South Park show because the was taking the mick out of his religion, which did not seem to bother him before having a go at other ones he was not a follower of.

Did quite a few episodes of The Rockford Files as one of Jims mates.

Will play his Shaft album when I get up in the morning in memory of such a great talent.

This is awful news, that I read in today's METRO paper.

What a shame to hear of his passing. "South Park" simply won't be the same without him.

RIP Isaac. You'll be much missed.

the creators of South Park killed off the chef about 2 years ago,due to the nature of their falling out,to do with his scientology beliefs,and their having a pop at it.

that movie is pretty awful, and hammer is only in it for about 25 minutes, about halfway through the movie. bernie casey isn't a patch on getting richard roundtree back in the shafts big score leather outfit, jim brown is a nice touch, but a few more explotation regulars like pam grier and fred williamson would have went down better. chris rock was great, but he was only in it for 5 minutes

now, truck turner is the movie you want to see if you want isaac hayes. a real explotation flick, starring isaac, with a double soundtrack album by him

i was quite a fan of isaac hayes, i have all his albums. hot buttered soul, joy and black moses were fantastic. for those who don't know, he was a genuinely cool version of barry "cheesetastic" white. i prefer to think of him as a musician than his later southpark guise
