Angry top gear and clarkson

just realised how much of a obnoxious little **** clarkson is,never really seen that side of him as in the old top gear he doesnt get to interact with people but tonights show was just rude IMHO.

all its gonna take is one of the fellas to get insulted and string bean is going down lol.and i know for a fact if he was talking to me the way he talks to some of his audience i would spin his head round.oh and the show is crap now aswell way to long.

I prefer the new format too. Yes he's obnoxious but thats his 'style' you know what you are going to get.

Its a good mix of cars and entertainment. Don't take it too seriously. A guy I worked with went to see it live and he said it was very funny seeing it close up.

Was anyone else struck by how impressive the photography is on the show? The report on the test between a BMW M3 and an Audi of some sort looked fantastic!

The cars were moving separately to the clouds, the lens filter added a lot to the mood: honestly, I'm really impressed that someone went to so much effort for a car test. Two tumbs up! (I wonder if the effects reflect that the cars are aimed squarely at drug dealers??)

Oh, and the new presenter seems to be a top bloke. They should stick to him and Clarkson, and get rid of Son Of Roy Castle (no idea of his real name: small chap, sycophantic, about 3 ft tall?).

I really enjoyed this segment too, two fantastic cars and it was beautifully shot

Yes top show, Clarkson can be a bit obnoxious to some but he is not pompous like a lot of these presenters.

Top show!!! and aahh yes the Audi S4!! a four door with 344bhp!! but then again i'm biased!!

IMHO Clarkson makes the show!!....miles better than most other car programmes.....he's not afraid to say what he thinks...nor is he influenced by any manufactuer....which sometimes can be the case with magazines etc.

The Jamie Oliver segment was pretty disappointing and I'm surprised they didn't show the Oprah clip. Plus, what on earth was the hairy tongued one doing to the blonde chap as he entered the studio????

But when the Stig was driving his Camper Van and Jamie was in the back trying to make that food. That was funny i thought.

What engine did it have in it, a Porshe 911. Well as they say 'Its not just cool, its air cooled'.

I still think the best custom makeover has to be the Renault Espace F1. Take a Williams-Renault F1 car and put an Espace body on it. Madness - 0-60 in 2.8 seconds. See what happens when you let eningeers have too much spare time

Renault Espace F1

Yeah, the midget presenter is a complete p****. Luckily, they seem to have got rid of the fat bloke too.

Top Gear IS Jeremy Clarkson! He lifted a tired old format and made it what it is today. I remember when the main presenter was William Woodard (spl?) Just awful. Every other feature was on traction engines or the model T Ford.

The first series of 'Driven' were good. But for sheer dirty excited little wonder-what-she's-like-in-bed minx entertainment, you can't beat a little bit of Vicki B-H!!!

Heh heh

I liked the way Jamie Oliver tried to make out that he didn't mind falling off his skooter like a little girl on US TV. He must have felt a prat.
Sunday night is the best - Top Gear, State Of Play and 24 - and all from the BBC.

I really like clarkson, the shows new format and the new presenter, but I can't help missing the old format.

5th gear is pants, but ditch the midget and stick vicky butler henderson, tiff and quentin into the new top gear and I'd be a happy man.

Jeremy Clarkson is one of the best presenters on TV at the moment. His dry wit and 'hold no punches' approach is superb. Loved his little comedy/chat show too

I loved that, i can remember the one when he made a spud gun by using a tube about the same width as a spud, then sprayed loads of hair spray in it then put the spud in and put it on a flame for a couple of minutes. Whooossshh. It was amazing.

And he put a CD in a microwave as well Started sparkling and glowing and some Christmas Tree lights as well.

If you want a cheap fireworks display cut a grape in hlaf and then put it back together in a microwave.

Set on for about 10-15 seconds and stand well back.

His 'clarkson Meets the Neighbours' show was very good as well. He travelled round Europe in an E-Type jag poking fun at the various locals he med. Just his facial expressions at Belgians betting on where a cow will **** in a feild was excellent.

The best bit was agruing with a Spanish Road-Toll operator that he didn't need to pay to go on Spanish roads as he was British and therefor had already paid for it EU subsidies. The blokes face was very Manuel from Fawlty Towers. The whole Spanish show was a scream from start to finish.

Excellent show. He's a top bloke.

He'll be a topped bloke if I ever I get him in range of my handle bars ... the beepety beep.

I find his manner distasteful, & he takes pride in being opinionated.

Yeah sure he's obnoxious, but I find It quite refreshing that he has an opinion. So many people these days bend over backwards to be pc and not to offend people that I quite like it when someone just tells it like he or she says it!

I think the arrogance and obnoxious nature make him the good presenter that he is. Let's face it car review shows can only go so far and become very stale and all look the same (ie boring). At least he's trying to inject some new life into the genre.

Any idea if last week's top gear is repeated anywhere on Sky?
