Can someone explain to me why this programme is pronounced the way it is. For the cost of the license fee these days i'd expect the BBC to employ announcers who can read!

They always pronounce it as Dee-el and Pascoe, yet I pronounce it (and read it as) Dal-zee-el and Pascoe.

While we're on the subject - does anyone know if the Beeb is filming any more Dalziel and Pascoes?
