Better than VHS or DVD for that matter. Ooopps, forgot there is no DVD. TV sounds about the best option then. Besides i don't do VHS so TV it is.

Not thought about it yet Nathan. Money (Women) problems.

I can’t understand that the last time they showed it, it was in anamorphic 16:9, luckily I taped it on a S-VHS tape.

The last time they showed it the pic quality was AWFUL!

Even the BBC engineer I spoke too about it admitted that it should never have been aired as the print used for DTT was not fit for broadcast.

I didn't watch it this time round. I'd rather wait 'til Nov for the superior DVD. Also makes it that much better if I haven't seen it for a while.

Same here - I avoided it so that I can enjoy the DVD quality picture and sound in November.

BBC stuff on DVB-T via Nebula DigiTV gives picture quality very close to good DVD.

The digital recording, assuming there are no frame dropouts, it identical to the original.

That may well be so, but it won't be in DD 5.1 or in OAR (2.35:1).

I don't know what's worse... 4:3 pan & scan or 2.35:1 cropped tp 16:9.

That’s easy, 4:3. It like which is worse having one hand cut off or two. Neither good but one is definitely better than the other. By the way a few films are filmed in 16:9 and cropped to 2.35:1.

Cool

Have you see it tonight? Once again it is being shown in 4:3 although in the onscreen menu it gives it a W!

Another reason to not watch it and wait for the DVD.
