Finished the last episode of season 5 Las Vegas. It ended on a "To Be Continued....." and they cancelled the show. And it was a reall annoying way to end it aswell. I wanted the loose ends to be tied up (aswell as Sam, if you know what I mean)

Will start FastLane boxset tonight.

The Wire: I'm half way through season 3 after starting at the beginning a few days ago. Utterly brilliant, although I've heard it described many times as the best TV show ever and I wouldn't go quite that far yet.

Last 5 episodes from Sports Night Season 1 (hence part of my signature) fantastic show from Aaron Sorkin (pre-West Wing) 10th Anniversary DVD apparently coming out so I may even invest in that as the current one I've got has no extras at all...must of watched all 45 episodes a ridiculous amount of times!

Shame as far as I'm aware it was only shown on ABC1 over here!

and tonight...Scrubs Season 2 (after the Andy Murray match finishes)

Apparently there is a very slim chance of a feature film for that to tie up the ends instead of the planned danny and delinda walking in the background of a knightrider scene with a child

Re: What TV Program Did You Watch Last Night On DVD

Episodes one and two of Pushing Daisies.

Ignored it when it appeared on ITV (its track record is pretty poor), especially when I read that they cocked up the scheduling and so decided not to show episode two.

Loved it - charming, witty, perfectly paced, and just a little bit weird. Comedy, romance, murder, mystery, and Anna Friel - what's not to like?

Highly recommend it to anyone that's not seen it.

Re: What TV Program Did You Watch Last Night On DVD

Been getting through Friends as Zavvi sent me my complete box set two days ago for a bargain Ł50

The first season is so funny. I think people forget that amidst C4 repeats. So many shows and comedians have ripped off this first season alone and I am only on S1, disc 2, side 1! I am looking at you Russell Peters (unfunny man my uni friend inexplicably likes)

Thanks

The first season of Star Trek on HD DVD. Overall it looks pretty damn good. Every now and again the Enterprise looks a bit too much CGI.

Just finished the second disc of Stargate Atlantis although not bad some of the storys seem very similar to others, even made a thread on it the other day on one of them.

The Stargate film was very good and I enjoyed the TV pilot but the rest?

Sorry but it's not for me.

Re: What TV Program Did You Watch Last Night On DVD

Atlantis is the poor relation of the original. I know most everyone are ever so excited about S5, but sorry not for me

And I have the final two eps of Friends S1 left. It occurred to me one of the potentially unsung stars was Marcel the monkey! If only David Scwimmer had such personality and adaptability in his acting repertoire

Re: What TV Program Did You Watch Last Night On DVD

Now midway through s4 of Friends in my marathon re-re-re-re-re-reviewing

Just watched the one were the boys and the girls have the quiz to settle the bet. Great episode

I cannot think of many [comedy] sitcoms that was consistently brilliant for so long. I know it lagged towards the end but watching to s4 at least it has never dropped below its standard

Most recently have been Shine On Harvy Moon and Pushing Daisies. Both excellent shows.

Re: What TV Program Did You Watch Last Night On DVD

Just finished off Season One of Veronica Mars. Sufficiently impressed enough to have ordered Season Two, which my GF tells me landed on the doormat this morning. Sadly I won't be able to start watching them till next weekend. After that I'm expecting to move onto Season Three.

Regards

Mark

I've been watching a combination of episodes from the first series of Outnumbered on DVD and the second series as it's going out on TV. First rate.

All the best

Boston Legal finale very sad to see the show gone even if the liberal stance annoyed me.
