The Transporter: Any good?

Sorry if this has been done already, but a search only brings up loads of people who have bought it or have it on a wish-list. No sign of a review.

So, has anyone got the R1 DVD and is the film worth watching. It appears to my kind of shoot-'em-up, car chase, action-man type of film. Will I be disappointed?

No-one? Ok, almost 2 hours and no reply. Never mind, I can't wait for anything these days, so I've ordered it from Play.

Haven't seen it myself, but sound like some decent mindless action:

Cheers Tee. Just the sort of "blow-stuff-up" popcorn film for the weekend. Your review says the DD sound is good too. Sorted.

Disappointing ending, but on the whole I thought very entertaining escapist stuff.

Must agree with saucytoe.
This film,in my opinion, ranks alongside "The Blue Lagoon" as possibly the worst film I've seen.

I thought it was pretty good, one of the best driving sequences ive seen since Ronin. The accent he puts on all the way through is very annoying though

You will and you won't.

Its like most films, some will love it, some will hate it.

I think its ok, but like the others said its got some good stuff in there and some not so good. Geezers right about the driving scenes, they are cool. Better then Ronin's IMO, but not by much.

I enjoyed it all the way to the end. Then when the names went up i didn't know what to say.

It deffinatly is a weekend popcorn film. But dont expect to much.

I really enjoyed this film, despite the fact that it was a no brainer. It was made with that continental style and panache that is lacking from the plastic, generic products that Hollywood is currently churning out.

Liked the cast, and thought the fights were some of the best choreographed this side of Hong Kong.

Good soundtrack to boot.

Excellent Friday evening viewing.

That's probably because you searched DVD Talk rather than Movies & TV. Film reviews go in Movies & TV now. This forum is just to talk about disk specs and suppliers

I know Shoka started a thread on The Transporter in Movies & TV and I contributed to it so hunt it down

What a while of pank!

My wife and I have just watched it and I'd rather watch the Harry Potter movies back to back than watch that again.

The only way it could have been worse is if it was longer!

I enjoyed it , probably because I was so happy that Vin Diesel wasn't in it.
