Exclamation Re: The Simpsons DVD's

Hi,

To put it simply, it's down to syndication of the show's many seasons on US and UK TV, and also to do with the cost of licencing the show for release onto DVD around the world, at different times. Fox are simply maximising the revenue as much as they can.

It's totally normal for DVD releases of TV shows to be a long way behind their TV Seasons! Especially with a show like THE SIMPSONS. There's also the issue about copyrighted music, characters and special guests, and whether it was in the original contracts to allow the episodes to be released on a home viewing format. In most cases, it's sorting this out, that takes the time, and hence, why a show like this is so far behind. Don't worry, Fox will almost certainly release every Season, for as long as they make it profitable for themselves.
