Battle,
I too was shocked at the new-style credits. The animation looks quite cool, and does seem to be relevant, but the new theme music is absolutely hideous!
Give me the original song, anyday:
Dig in
Dig deep
Deserve what you reap
Don't you know the truth will set you free
The song is by Debby Holiday and is called "Dig Deep", but the new title is a rock version of the popular nursery rhyme "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star".
Lastly, I've read that because of the Writer's Guild Strike, only 7 episodes were completed, out of the intended 13. Sadly, it was decided, that no more episodes would be made for the time being, and as such Season 2 lasts half of the length of Season 1.
It should also be noted, that Season 2 takes on a different style to the first one, by being a little less grim and dark, making Lucy less of a bitch, and making each episode pretty much self-contained. It will also be more character-based. Thus, there's no real overall story arc, like with Season 1. In the US, the show only received around 1 million viewers over the entire season, which for a cable show, isn't bad, but not great. In the UK, though, the ratings have given Fiver and Five US (who originally showed Season 1) some of their best ratings ever - around 675,000 viewers for each episode.
No news on a Season 3 alas.

The Season 1 DVD boxed set, comes out in the UK in a week or two, certificate 18, on 3 discs, with some reasonable extras.
