Question london marathon very very poor picture

Does any one else think the picture is very very poor.

Noticed that myself when I flicked past it the other day.

It was incredibly pixellated and everybody seemed to have rough edges.It looked like something that ITV would transmit during a football World Cup.

I think its a problem to do with the low bit rates to what ever they up link with?
