Reccomend me some US comedies please

Last time I watched The War at Home

Can someone reccomend something similar?

A fairly new show on E4 - "the big bang theory" is really good

other than that depending what system that you've (some of these you will only get on sky or cable) got heres some of my US faves.

i quite like the big band theory too, it's just like friends but with IT geeks instead. the location of the two apartments makes it look almost like they've used the same set

some of my faves are

my name is earl
the office (and it's getting a spinoff from next feb)
everybody hates chris
chuck (it's an action comendy)

you could also checkout reaper, but it's been a bit repetitive

apart from the old classics like taxi, cheers, diffrent strokes, happy days, mork and mindy, etc there was moonlighting, and curb your enthuisiasm looks good (i've got the boxset but haven't watched it yet), and i really liked the dave chapelle show (he's a standup comic a bit like chris rock and had a sketch show before cancelling his 3rd series due to "personal issues")

oh, and i suppose desperate housewives is kind of a comedy drama soap thing

As you watch it, try to imagine that they are making the words up as they go along (it's true they do), they just have an outline, and no script.

That is interesting! Especially during the arguements, Larry comes up with so many weird thing.

shame it was cancelled but two good seasons & a third okay-ish season isn't to be sniffed at !

Funniest series I've seen in years.

I am not usually into US comedies but this show had me in stitches many a time. Pure class and one of my fav shows.

How could I forget to mention "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" that is superb and always have been in stitches, kind of like Curb Your Enthusiasm

As much as I love shows like Frasier et al, I really think more people should check out Arrested Development as recommended by an earlier poster.

A definite gem that a lot of people know very little about - but its VERY funny.

Also, what about Northern Exposure for an oldie?

And while not strictly being a comedy Rescue Me is a superb drama with lots of comedy moments. Highly recommended. I'd also recommend any Joss Whedon show (Buffy, Angel, Firefly) since they usually have lots of laughs per episode.

If you haven't seen it & are a fan of Rescue Me, you must see The Job. It's pretty much identical, same actors, different setting (NYPD) & only 30mins long, all comedy - without the drama. Hilarious, I actually prefer it to Rescue Me now..

Just watched the Shaquille O'Neal episode, season 2!
Too funny! Loving it
