Just seen on the planner that the 1973 film of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars live at the Hammy Odeon is showing on Sky Arts HD, this Sunday at 10pm.

It's flagged on the EPG as HD but not DD5.1 which is a bit of a boo-hiss.. Be interesting to see what the PQ is like. If it's anything near like Zulu was, it will be awsome.

It was on last week. To be honest it didn't look like HD to me, but the original footage is very grainy and HD tends to accentuate grain!!

I'd be interested in other opinions.

Yeah, I wondered that derek after I posted. I mean, an OB filmed in a darkened room is never going to reach the PQ of something filmed in bright, natural sunlight. A bit optimistic of me there methinks..

Should be good though. I haven't seen it for years. Would love someone to show The Song Remains The Same in HD, with Dobbly 5.1.
