Voiceovers, adverts, split screen credits, DOGs......
Would you put up with those on movies? I'm guessing no, so why on television shows?
I'm happy to say that TV DVDs make up the bulk of my current purchases, by the end of this year over 50% of my collection will consist of television material. Given a choice between movies and TV shows I'll take television anyday. |
i do not even record the credits, never seen the point in them
voiceover, this is not really an issue since they only really appear on credits
(apart from BBC3 being ****wits on 24 last sunday)
Adverts - these can very easily be edited out cleanly
DOGs yep you have me there, DOGs I hate them
(why do broadcasters have them?)
but I think the advantages far outweigh the cons
So much cheaper
You do not have to wait a ridiculous amount of time after the broadcast date
Seinfeld for one has not being released on DVD yet. However, thanks to my DVDR I now have season 7, albeit with the paramount DOG on DVD.
