Grand designs should be HD!

well, of course everything should be HD, but watching Grand Designs last night I think that would benefit a lot. all those loving crane shots, gentle pans - its almost architectural porn. and perfect for HD.

Presumably it wouldn't be that difficult to do - doesn't seem like a lot of heavy set up - some of it just seems like one camera on site.

What is the situation with HD production? Is it limited to in-house production (eg BBC/C4) or can/do external production companies also produce it? Any idea if Grand Designs might go HD sometime?
