thought you all might like to see the reply i got today from sky, regarding my previous post about this

"Thank you for contacting us concerning the promotion of The Michael Jackson Interview: The Footage You Were Never Meant To See. Please accept my apologies for the delay in responding. We are sorry that the graphic to promote the Michael Jackson programme, which appeared as an on screen bug in the programme you were watching, caused you such annoyance. Unfortunately, Sky only obtained the rights to transmit this programme at a very late stage, which reduced our ability to promote it between programmes. To ensure, as many people as possible were aware that this programme was to be transmitted we used the graphical device within a number of programmes on Sky One.

Sky rarely uses this method to promote programmes and will only use it if either the programming to be promoted is of exceptional importance or, as in this case there is very little time before the transmission of a programme to promote it between breaks.

This style of promotion is not unique to Sky and other broadcasters have used it to promote programming on their channels.

Again we apologise for the annoyance this has caused you, but hope that you will continue to view and enjoy the programmes on Sky.

Kind regards

Angela Hart

So showing the trailer 4 times an hour every hour in the add breaks was not enough to inform the viewers.
