Yup, I have also read in a couple of places that the R1 will be fullscreen. My R2 doesn't seem like such bad value now!

I'll stop collecting at S3 anyway. S4 did have some good episodes, but I felt it started to go downhill.

Apparently the widescreen versions contain framing errors and are not how Joss Weedon prefers to see it. Hence the 4:3 versions for the R1 discs.
