The ORI are not in the Pegasus galaxy, they are powerful but not so powerful they can tract an energy source between galaxies

Never really understand the asgard beam weapon, when the baddies came through the super gate the asgard ship (fully specced not retrofit) couldn't do anything about it, whilst fitted to a human ship they suddenly can go straight through shields etc, nice plot hole i guess. But that is back in the good old days of SG1

The ORI ships had shields that were equal to that of the Asgard, perhaps even more so given the power generation those ships seemed capable of where as the replicator ships had Ancient level shields (perhaps not advanced as Asgard who continued to develop tech) and Wraith had no shields at all which is why the beam weapon worked on them but not the ORI.

I thought there was a problem with using the technology, does it not alert the Ori or something ? So they had it but can't use it. Maybe I'm making that up though.

The problem was that some of the Asgard tech was trackable even in hyperspace(the main core I think it was, not bought s10 on DVD was hoping for a HD release so it's been a while) which they do mention in Ark of Truth.
So using the full power of the Asgard core left the Odyssey vulnerable since it was not a match 1 on1 for the ORI.
