Re: Christmas Crackers or Fat Tukeys

Same here.
Dr Who is one of the shows I watch during any of the other 51 weeks so looking forward to the Kylie fest, lets hope it's better than last years effort.

I think in my case is that I hardly watch UK productions during the year so a christmas special is of no interest either and the US imports I do like take breaks over xmas anyway and any seasonal stories have already been done or won't turn up on UK telly till Spring

Casino Royale in HD is the christmas highlight and I'll watch the first really good HD broadcast of Hogfather as well (last time SKY1HD was sub-standard), it really doesn't matter anymore that it's christmas not like it did when we only had 3 or 4 channels

Not one of Pratchet's best novels but it's pretty much standalone and christmas themed hence the decision to use it. A fan of the Discworld won't be impressed but for £6 Million SKY got a well made mini-series which pulled in an impressive audience for SKY1.
Certainly give it a go as it warms up a bit after a bit of a slow start and it may be better if you haven't read the novel but that's not unusual is it
