Can anyone tell me what is happening with the 2nd episode of the 2 parter called Mortal Coil.

The first part aired last week, they said at the end that it would be on this tuesday (tomorrow) at 8pm. i cannot find it on my digi guide or on my sky listings...

It's the mid-season finale. Part 2 will be airing on Jan 4th 2008 in the US. So expect it here in the UK atleast a week after.

I take it Atlantis isn't being effected by the writers strike, then.

Must be the only show that isn't.

It was written and in the can before the strike started, remember it's Scifi that pushed it's start day to later in the year, it would normally have kicked off in July so it had a huge production lead in unlike other shows that were made with a Sept/Oct premiere date set in stone.

i always thought becouse of the break in the US that it came back quicker
on Sky / uk, has this not happened with the last few seasons of atlantis &
SG-1 where the uk found its self infront of the US in the second half of the
season.?

Atlantis isn't affected that much by the writers strike because most of their writers are canadian, they did still lose 1 writer though. And Mortal Coil Pt.2 airs on Jan 8th I believe.

Yes especially last year when US Scifi pushed the second half of both SG1 and Atlantis way into the Spring and the UK were months ahead.
It's basically down to the overseas rights being held by MGM who sell them on but provides the US Scifi channel with global premiere rights to the season opener but I believe once they start the season then everyone else is free to go and are not prevented from showing new eps if the Scifi channel chooses to hold back episodes.

And the fact that Sky1 always break their shows over Christmas - if you look there is virtually nothing on next week, Bones & Journeyman are both off for a week as well

This is only a guess , but I dont htink it was the ratings winner they were hoping it was going to be. I dont even think they picked up the rights to any of the next seasons.


Did they ever finish showing Star Trek Voyager either?

They too know people will be busy with post Christmas arrangements and will be taking off form TV shows..I guess.
