Has the theme tune for Smallville S3 been sped up?

or am I going mad?

The GF doesn't agree and I'm sure it's slightly faster.....ALTHOUGH I was watching S2 recently on R1 which is NTSC.

If anyone can shed any light on this I'd be grateful and sane again!

I don't watch Smallville, but have always watched 24/Prision Break/Lost/Heroes etc at "US" speeds (FILM, 23.976 fps) and can instantly notice the speed and pitch change to the music and also to some of the voices if watching UK TV broadcast (PAL, 25 fps). To the point I can't watch it as it drives me mad...

Many years ago I bought my first Laserdisc Star Trek The Motion Picture. I played it to death As a PAL copy it it had the speed up Rob mentioned. My son bought a CD with the ST TMP theme music on it at the correct speed and pitch. It was so slow to what I was used to. It just sounded weird.

This happened to me with Stargate Atlantis, watched the entire first season in NTSC and then caught an episode on Channel 5 and the title music just sounded wrong, have stuck to NTSC even since.
