Does anyone have the Earth 2 boxset? Unfortunately they released the series on DVD18 (double layered, double sided) discs and I seem to be having a few snags. Some of the episodes suffer image breakdowns and blocking - I have tried the discs in a few players and all seem the same

Just wondered if anyone else was suffering the same? If not I'll order another set. If however it's a common problem I might just rip the ones that are OK to my PC and revert to my SciFi DVDR recordings for the others.

Well I don't know about this set but dual side discs are a nightmare at the best of times.

I'm sorry I can't help but I'm glad you posted as I was thinking of picking up the DVD of Earth 2 and will now have to investigate.

Cheers for the replies - turns out it was only Disc 1 in the set that caused me any problems

Anyway, Amazon are sending me a replacement copy so as long as Disc 1 works I will have the full set That said I think I will 'rip' the episodes to my HDD and just keep the DVDs as backups.

With regards to West's comments on buying this set - Universal clearly didn't spend to much time on this releases as the episodes are all mixed up and in the wrong order They stuck to the US Air Dates rather than the correct episode order - very annoying considering the story continues from one episode to another. However the PQ and AQ are good which is what matters.

Loved Earth 2 when it was on, long time ago now, it was creepy, if i remember there was never a conclusion to their fate? , might watch it again.

It did have a somewhat downbeat ending. It's a shame it only lasted the one season TBH - but having seen the proposed Season 2 plans I think it's probably best it did end there.
