I acquired the pre-air pilot of this at the end of July, and recently got round to watching it and was immediately gripped

Its a family saga about a Cuban-American family running a rum and sugar cane business in Florida
- think Dallas (apart from all the deliberately over the top shenanigans and dead people returning in the shower) ... with sugar replacing oil, and Florida replacing Texas and then throw in a bit of Sopranos and Miami Vice

just watched the aired pilot, identical to the pre-air, but opening credits and a nice preview of the rest of the season at the end

- should be 13 episodes
