I liked season 4. In fact I like all the seasons of NCIS.

I thought the end of season 4 was a good payoff for the whole of the arc with Tony and his new girl friend.
I have been consistantly impressed with the show across all the seasons and await series 5 with great anticipation.

I have to disagree there - on the whole I thought that series 4 was great but that the last episode was disjointed and random with no real control over the plot. Having said that of course im am eagerly awaiting series 5 to arrive on FX

And how obvious was it that something was going to happen with the "girlfriend" plot. It was just to shoved in your face not to be an integral part of the overall story rather than just a side story

Any word on when series 5 will hit the UK screens by legal means? Wasn't even aware that it was ending on FX! No warning or anything .. useless eh.

Season 4 as a whole was good. But the last episode of Season 4, was dire!

I felt the premiere was fantastic.
It was only then that you realised at no time did they give the game away in terms of Tony and Jeanne, did anyone think she didn't know what he did for a living?

As for the explosion, well I assumed that Tony wasn't being written out but for a second I thought that about Kate as well

An excellent opening episode. I wanted to watch another straight away.

Spoiler: I did for a second think that Tony was dead. Glad I was wrong tho.

Just an early heads up that NCIS will be returning on April the 8th of April. Only 2 episodes are listed in tv.com, so lets all hope there is more episodes to follow.

SEASON 5 HAS ONLY JUST STARTED ON FX READ AT YOUR OWN PERIL

(Season 5 Finale- Spoilers) BEWARE!

SPOILER POST TITLE: NCIS/SOUTH PARK or OH, MY GOD THEY KILLED JENNY!)

Loved the two-part climactic Season 5 finale.

Director Jenny Shepherd killed. Now I know that she had already been marked as 'sick' but I wonder what prompted her exit. Was it at Lauren Holly's request or could they not come to terms on her renewal?
Gibbs handed a new team with...
McGee transferred out to cyber crimes,
Ziva sent home as her liaison post is 'eliminated' and
Tony posted to USS Ronald Reagan as 'NCIS Agent Aboard'

This is reminiscent of the CSI Season Finale where Grissom's team is broken up. It's a lovely cliffhanger and (paranoia rant begins) possibly a great tactic by the producers to lean on the actors to renew their contracts at reasonable numbers

BTW..{Different series spoiler}...same thing with David Caruso/Horatio Caine in the CSI Miami season finale

Now....with all that, I like the set-up for next season...wherethe new Director has a skeleton in his past that could be used to re-contruct the team. Evidenced by his destroying a document from his own personnel file.

I was a bit late in watching the season finale but I managed to watch the double bill last night and really enjoyed it. There are some big shockers in these two episodes as Paulie has posted above.

I cant wait for it to return.

I have not read this thread as I haven't seen season 5 yet. Does anyone know when it is on Five? I have a feeling I have to wait until season 4 finishes its repeat.

I just finished Season 4 and it was a excellent season to already a excellent series. I did not see the cliffhanger coming until the last second. I can't wait to see what happens next.

It isn't often nowadays where I can keep watching until there is no episodes left. Some series I can only watch two or three at a time but I watched all of season 4 in 4 days. Overall, it is one of my favourite TV series.

Ive just noticed that the series link for NCIS is still showing even though its the last episode of series 5 tonight so I though I would have a look at what is showing next week - they are airing the first episode of series 6

(the rest of which we wont get to see till 2009 apparently) - If they can show the first episode why cant they continue and show the rest of the season? (although Burn Notice is taking over that slot the week after so I can live with it)

They probably threw enough money at the US producers/distributors for a one-shot deal. Too expensive for a tiny entity like FX UK to buy a whole season to show 1 week after the US.
