Brotherhood on FX Sunday

I noticed this in the planner taking over from Dexter .

My question is , is the the first series are they showing from the start and is it any good ?

Ive not seen it so i wondered if its worth pursuing ? Looks good and i like Jason Issacs

I enjoyed season 1. It can be quiet a violent show.

Yep season 2 is on in the US on Sunday.

i cant see the one in the UK being the second season as razor points out the second starts in the US on sunday preceded by Dexter.

would be good if it was the new season though, it would save on the broadband bandwidth

EDIT: just checked FXUK website the UK episodes starting Sunday are season 1

Definetly saw a trailer on FX for Brotherhood season 2 to start in October. Not sure of date but sure it was in first couple of weeks.

I was dissapointed with Brotherhood.

Lacks the humour of The Sopranos plus the whole Irish thing is a bit much even for me (of Irish decent).

i really enjoyed Brotherhood and thought it was a good replacement for Sopranos

most critics also loved Brotherhood

lets hope it continues its high standards...

Hi,

"Brotherhood" Season 2 will not be starting in October 2007, as FX are about to start repeating Season 1 from the beginning, at one episode a week. So, it's unlikely that Season 2 will start until the New Year at the earliest.

Two websites have it listed as showing on the 30th. Are you talking about the US or UK. As most of us are talking about the US timetable.

everything i've read suggests the show starts back on the 30th

the second season starts in the US on the 30th on showtime, the first season is being repeated on the 30th in the UK on FX.

as pooch says the second season will not start airing till the new year in the UK

I did mention it was the US show we were talking about.

I am so pleased all the shows are returning. I really enjoyed Brotherhood last year and its nice to see it back.

Just started watching this last night. Watched the frist two episodes of season one. Very promising, looks like it could be really good.

Not up to The Sopranos or The Wire standards (yet) but at least it'll give me my fix of 'whose the most corrupt, the gangsters the cops or the politicians'.

Yes I agree its not up to those standards . Its a good watch though worth sticking with especiially as the others have finished.

I think I shall email FX and tell them to buy OZ as they seem to have some cracking shows and this is one a few of us like to shout about and think others would love.

Well I finished the 3rd season last night. Top show, really enjoyed it. As mentioned before, not quite the standard of The Sopranos or The Wire, but there is no shame in that and it's still better than 99% of TV.

Great ending to season 3 as well. I almost hope they don't make any more as the 3 seasons are perfect together. Still, lets hope they make some more

Just watching season 2 of this at the moment, really good show!

Has a similar feel to the wire and sopranos but as others have said its not quite there. Still well worth watching though!!
