Once were warrior and What becomes of the broken hearted are both meant to be great, still have not got round to watching them though. Although I think they were Kiwis not Aussies.

James,

If you want the best of Aussie film, then you HAVE TO see:

Lantana (it's reputation precedes it, check the reviews)

Two Hands (fantastic Aussie crime drama/comedy)

(search for the above in DVD Talk and you'll find reviews by myself and Encaser)

Also good:

Muggers

Scarfies (NZ)

Snakeskin (NZ)

Yeah SG - I can second your vote for 'Two Hands' - enjoyable performances and a refreshing slant on Lock Stock. For those not wanting to purchase, it pops up on FilmFour occasionally.

I've never understood why people compare it with Lock Stock though. Apart from the fact that both are about gangsters in the city, they're totally different types of movies

I am also looking for an aussie movie, specifically.

The odd angry shot. (1979)
A film about the Aussie SAS in Vietnam.

Ordered it from splashdvd, but they couldn't supply it, and have failed to find any other retailer able to source it.

Any help greatly appreciated.
