I think you might find the new series of ER starts tonight on E4 after the new series of Friends starts.

PS , any of you guys ever watched Robocop ?

Isn't Romanov one of the bad guys in Robocop 1 ? I'm positive he is!

he's the guy who get's drenched in toxic waste (towards the end) and then gets run over !

i thought it was a promising start after losing so many of the big names in the last 2 seasons

Hi,

Last night's episode "Chaos Theory" was truly phenomenal! "ER" certainly knows how to make the first episode of a new season go with one hell of a wallop!

I was totally shocked when Romano lost his arm! (I won't spoil it any further, though!) It really was a mindblowing scene, especially bearing in mind everything else that was going on in that same few moments!

Cracking start to the series, and can't wait to see how the remaining 21 episodes pan out! Fantastic TV!

Ummm... what's wrong about that?! Hardly a spoiler is it?! I never said whether Romano lives or dies? I didn't mention whether or not he has his arm sewn back on or not? So....?

Didn't think it would be too long before poochie boy had his irony bone removed for old times sake. Or is this an attempt at proto-humour, pooch?
It was a decent outing for the series. Love Maura in it and other stuff over the years Romano's arm scene was class and had me pondering what sort of acidic throw he'd have made at some poor bods expense, had they've landed at his feet vs. chopper Still, as BTTF reminded us, at least he didn't again end up as a cross between the witch in Oz and Quasimodo with his melting crash test dumbie stunt
One thing that did annoy was how all English are portrayed as stuck-up ponces in some guise, even the helpful ones This show has such a huge US following; so it's not surprising it takes the likes of Ali G to make yanks rethink between Dick Van Dyke and Chariots of Fire

No doubt E.R. producers have taken a cinematic liberty in London just as in Chicago.
Can you really walk on a hospital rooftop overlooking Tower Bridge ?
You certainly can't look over Wacker / Sun Times bridge from anywhere near Cook County General.
Within a few footsteps E.R. is all over the city.

Mr Furious,

Yes, E4 will repeat each episode of "ER" on a Sunday night, either at 9pm or later-on, about 1am that same night.

Hope that helps!

Pooch

P.S. It was "proto" humour, Encaser!! Honestly!

Yuck! That helicopter scene was nasty! Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy!

I also was annoyed at the terrible stereotypical way London/the English were portrayed!! I am sure I even heard steam train sound effects at the train station!!!!

1st time me and the missus nearly chucked up all over the carpet together.. she did go mighty pale.. I guess its the shock that the camera did not pane away.. amazing....left me completely speechless (bit like the scenes in the London hospital )

Didn't she have telekinetic powers? Probably she's still upset about the incident in the shower after P.E.

That's a bit coldly sanguine of you SG, the poor b'tch just got 86'd from the furry cup
As Ian noted name-wise, funny how the yanks can buy something from us and yet still we have it
