Buffy S3 R1 box set problems

very annoyed about this as it's just landed on my desk this morning and I was really looking forward to it.

The "previously on Buffy..." recap sections have been removed from ALL episodes on the third season box set.

AND

the title music on the first two episodes is still the same music from the first two seasons rather than the faster, tinnier remix used from S3 onwards=, apparently it doesn't fit in at all with the credit visuals.

On my copy, on about disc 4 (?), there's a problem playing the disc - it reverts to the disc main menu midway thru a scene.

To get around it I had to reverse play from the start of the previous scene.

Oh dear Glad I didn't sell my R2 version to get this then.

What's it like apart from these problems though? More features etc?

That is ridiculous! Glad I went for the R2 version - even if it did cost £40 more!

I have the Season 1 R1 Boxset and seasons 2 & 3 (R2) boxsets and none of them do the "previously on Buffy...." bit. Isn't that only used on TV as an aide to newbies or peeps who don't watch every episode?

yea but the completest it would be nice to have them the same as the TV versions (apart from any cuts of course).

yep R1 are mastered differently.

RL123 what episode and scene is that, i'll check mine today!

other than that i have to say the box set is great and incredible value. extras are the same as R2 I think. It's the biggest foldout, digipack I've ever seen. all six discs fold out in a row plus an extra space for the booklet, about two and a half feet long!!

Still better than r2

While it's certainly annoying that the 'previously's are missing (because the recap is scored with the rest of the episode, so the affected episodes start very abruptly) and the wrong intro is silly (though I honestly don't know if I would have noticed it if it had not been pointed out for me), I still think that the cut on R2 to "Dead man's party" is worse. The R4 is the one to go for imo (if you don't mind amarays).
