Smallville Season 6 finally arrives in the UK

E4 have finally gotten their act together and decided to show season six of Smallville - it starts on Sunday 22.7.07 at 21.00 hrs

It replaces the repeats of Brothers & Sisters

It appears that second chance sunday is being done away with so for people like me who watch the repeat of Brothers and sisters on sunday its back to Wednesday for it.

Same here. Youcan preorder the season six HD-DVD from amazon.com now. I think it's getting released the 18th Sept.

It seems that comments are fairly quiet after last nights episode.
I am not going to give anything away, but thought it was a cracking opening episode and loads crammed in maybe too much?, this is how I imagined a younger superman should be shown on the small screen after all the mediocre melodrama of previous series episodes.

I thought it was a bit OTT, why did the whole world full apart in minutes after the electricity was cut

I enjoyed the program but not something i would run home for.

How many times can Lana be convieniently be knocked unconcious just when Clark arrives to use his powers.

That being said it was a very enjoyable episode - I particuarly liked the Phantom Zone

Probably because the power failure was a symptom of the overall attack on the planets electronics and communications.
We have a power cut a tranny can still pick up radio stations outside our area but in this case they would be down as well and all backup systems will be down and communications between groups who can fix the problems are down.
Of course for dramatic effect the events would have been speedup to show the breakdown of civilisation in the timeframe of a TV episode but in real life we seen localised riots become war zones in a day.

For a technological based society we forget how close to catastrophe we really are.

Smallville should never be this deep

Not a bad episode. C4/E4 certainly took their time showing this. Shame we're now almost a full season behind the US.

On a slightly different note, Lana is still looking as hot as ever.

Same here - when it cut to Martha and Lois I thought - why the hell are they on a plane - I had completly fogotten that Martha had taken over Jonathans political position. Confused for a while.

The phantom zone made up for it though
