Film: Platoon on BBC CHOICE

We are very unhappy about Oliver Stone's "Platoon" receiving the usual BBC CHOICE DOG treatment this evening. As part of the organised campaign against DOGs and on-screen garbage, we are asking viewers to complain about this incident, and to CC or BCC your complaint to our database.

It is plain simply wrong that a serious film like "Platoon" has on-screen branding. It is a serious subject and spectacular film making, not soap. As license fee payers, we will not accept this imposed flaw.

It is also daft that the BBC think's it must continue to promote in your face up your nose a channel that will NOT exist in three months time.

The anti-logo campaign has seen a great change with "five" becoming the first major channel to drop it's on-screen graffiti. We think it is essential that BBC FOUR and BBC THREE become the next channels to abandon
DOG dogma.

All digital viewers have adequate Set Top Boxes for this function. We know at least 30% of viewers are adverse to DOGs. We know that seeing major public service channels go LOGO FREE is attainable.
