the baftas 2007 - what did you think?

i find a lot of these award shows can be boring, but it wasn't bad this year. jonathon ross was his usual witty self, without being too rude

it was nice that the last king of scotland got recognition, especially forrest whittaker winning best lead male, i think he will repeat that at the oscars, likewise awards for pans labrynth, of of the best films of any language, but i didn't really rate the queen, although i enjoyed it, i thought the performances were cringe worthy and it looked low budget. i thought the departed should have won best film, and i wouldn't have minded if the last king of scotland won best movie either. united 93s awards for direction and editing are also deserved. i didn't think casino royale, although a great film, would win any major awards, and best sound editing in a film doesn't make a great dvd banner does it?

i still think departed will take best film at the oscars, and scorcese will get his best direction award in the same year as ennio morricone gets his award for outstanding contribution to motion pictures, pans labrynth for best foreign film

what do you think?

I only flicked over for a quick look here and there. I thought the backstage 'post BAFTA winning' interview was very wrong, aside from some people leaving the stage in an emotional state and then being ambushed by some guy with a microphone , what was the point?

'So whats it like to win this BAFTA?'

erm..... didn't they just tell us that 10 seconds ago on stage....
