The Lost Room - How Did It End?

I wondered if anybody would mind helping me out. After being highly impressed by this mini-series, a momentary power-cut managed to cut the recording at a vital part:[Spoiler text used, just in case anyone hasn't seen the finale yet]

[Just as the occupant of the motel room told Miller that he had to kill him, my recording then jumped to where he opened the door to room 8(??) to find his daughter. What happened in the intervening 5 mins (did he kill the occupant, what happened to Kreuzfeld & why room 8?). I can't believe that so much happened in such a short time!]

Any answers would be gratefully received, as we don't have Sky 2 so can't catch up with the repeat.

Re: The Lost Room - How Did It End?

Well, I don't need any spoiler space or whatnot 'cos I watched it uninterrupted and I still couldn't answer any of your questions. They never really explained any of 'em. Bit of a let down as a finale, I thought. Still, perhaps they had one eye on the possibility of a series so didn't want to leave it too cut and dried. If so I look forward to it. There's certainly more meat on the bones that you could spin out into a series.

Regards

Mark

Re: The Lost Room - How Did It End?

It was a bit dissapointing I thought at the end and apologise if there is any info you have already seen or heard:

SPOILER:

Karl Kreutzfeld gets all the objects to repeat the experiment to get his son back. When he opens the door of the motel his son appears but goes back into the room. He follows his boy into the room and the occupant and the cop also pursue. Cop gets his daughter back by killing the occupant and leaves the room feeling a bit down because he now is the occupants replacement because of time and space deplacement thingy. He throws the key into the room and resets the room hoping to end the whole polava. Which is apparently what happens. As cop, daughter and girlfriend drive off into the sunset the door mysteriously opens to show the lost room with the key on the floor.

Hope this is okay!!!!

Re: The Lost Room - How Did It End?

what i didnt get was
the dude with the patch said that all the objects call to each other, and it drives you mad(or similar words)so if 6feetunder Dude became the object, none were calling to him because he didnt react

great series though, hope they do a second run

Re: The Lost Room - How Did It End?

I think this happened....spoiler..

The occupant told Miller.. "You have to kill me to become the new occupant, and to get your daughter back.. One object replaces another after it is destroyed. Miller said "Will anyone remember me?" The occupant said "I don't know." He killed the occupant..

But Miller did not seem to become the new occupant in the end. Everyone could remember him, and he did not seem to be able to FEEL the other objects. I think that the guy with the patch became the new occupant, but it was never established, to be continued, I suppose..

Re: The Lost Room - How Did It End?

My take..

Miller became the new occupant which is how he was able to influence the room to return his daughter. The lack of any indication of the "buzz" created by the objects interacting was perhaps down to him being less intune with them and like any loud noise becomes more annoying the longer it continues.
