Re: Dragons Den

Spot on. Brilliant programme that, I think, Sky have tried to copy and failed miserably. Are the dragons the same four as last series?

It would be a great show to get on to test your mettle. I'd love to get Duncan Bannatyne really interested in something and then blow him out ....

Great show but i hope that they have stopped the presenter from constantly repeating the rules over and over again, it get quite annoying after a while.

Re: Dragons Den

Just gotta add how much ive loved all the series of Dragons Den.

ITV are really determined to jump on teh bandwagon they have another new series starting with Peter Jones soon.

The million pound giveaway was ruined by having a studio audience and trying to glam it up whith whoops and cheers , and teh fact it just was a bit lame

Re: Dragons Den

The presenter definitely needs changing.... or his script!

When one dragon declares themselves out he chirps in, "this only leaves x, x and x" then someone else drops out, "this leaves Theo and Duncan...

WE KNOW WE ARE WATCHING THE PROGRAMME!!

Re: Dragons Den

I love the inventions and business ideas.
I love hearing the business plans.
I love hearing the 5 dragons making suggestions and criticisms.

What I dont like it sthe general 'style' of the programme.

As Abbeygoo says, the commentator says things like "Peter Jones doesnt look happy with the figures", cut to presentation...

Peter Jones: "I'm not happy with the figures"

Why do they feel the need to dumb it down

And the commentator keeps repeating himself

Re: Dragons Den

And another thing...

I do like it when Peter Jones gets in first and slags the business off with a usual pathetic pun...

Then the other 4 dragons practically cut each others throats trying to get a slice of the business.

Peter J just looks sick ! It's happened a few times now...

Once of the lorry washing co in the last series...

He only just managed to save a bit of face last night with the refrigarated vans co...

While I'm on Peter J rant mode...

Why when someone with a new business idea come along does he say "I could set that business up tomorrow".... why doesnt he then

Exclamation Re: Dragons Den

HI,

Another fantastic start to Series 4 (!), and I loved the Dragons' reaction to Levi's real name being "Keith"! Absolutely hilarious!

As for why the rules are repeated so often, it's partly because a) the BBC think we're all too stupid to remember, but is also because b) the show is aired in China and the USA (on BBC World), and has adverts placed into it, extending the show to around 70-75 minutes. Because of this, the BBC has asked that there be musical interludes/re-caps inserted into the original tapes, (which we see), so that editing the show is easier for the foreign TV channels!

Annoying, but sadly, quite true!

As long as they dont do "comming up" i HATE "comming up" lol just had to get that off my chest i know its only done with programmes with adverts but thats ruined so many programmes for me.

Yep Achy I saw that with Peter Jones. I also hate it when they say " so you value that a 1 million pounds as your giving away 20% " er no they are doing same as you when you want 50% .

Going off-topic slightly, but I hate all that; They do it at the end - show you a couple of minutes of the next episode, completely ruining much of it. To be fair, there are far-far worse programs that do this though. Or give you a brief synopsis of the whole show right at the start! grrr! lol
